Valpiro Inc. started their operations in August 1971 in Val-d’Or.  The services provided were baggage handling and fuel services for airlines using the Val d’Or airport.

After several years of operations, the company expanded into cargo handling due to the needs of the Cree communities and the La Grande project.

In August 1988, CREECO purchased the company.  In  La Grande, the major contract is food and cargo expedition with the Inuit communities and also different services for mining companies in the north.  Throughout the years, the company has built a very good reputation in the aviation field.
